What we collect
Details you give us: name, email, WhatsApp number, business details and the answers you enter in our tools.
Receipts, invoices and bank statements you upload, and the figures we extract from them.
Usage data: pages visited, the campaign that brought you here, and device information.
Why we use it
To run Rekod: read your documents, keep your books and prepare your tax packs.
To contact you about the waitlist, deadlines and offers you opted into.
To measure and improve our advertising, only with your cookie consent.
Cookies and tracking
We set one first-party cookie that remembers which campaign first brought you to Rekod. It helps us credit our own marketing.
Advertising pixels from Meta, Google and TikTok load only after you accept cookies. Decline and they never load.
Where your data lives
We store data with Supabase (database, AWS Frankfurt, Germany) and Cloudflare (files and hosting). Moving data outside Nigeria follows the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. You consent to this transfer when you sign up.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run Rekod for us: Cloudflare, Supabase, Anthropic (AI reading of documents), Bachs (payments), and Meta, Google and TikTok for measurement after consent. We never sell your data.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion. Email hello@rekod.ai. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
How long we keep it
Account data for as long as your account is open. Tax records for 6 years after the period they cover, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Leads with no account for 2 years.
